About Legacy Cincinnati
Legacy Diving’s Cincinnati location took flight in 2016 under the direction of head coach Lisa Werwinski. A former diver at Miami University, Coach Lisa has leaned on the knowledge and mentorship of Legacy founder Buck Smith to build a strong program and bring the Legacy model to Southwest Ohio.

Cincinnati Hub Teams
Head Coach: Lisa Werwinski
Lisa Werwinski has been coaching diving since 2011, including 11 years of coaching at the high school varsity level. She dove collegiately at Miami University and currently works there as a faculty member in the Department of Statistics. She has coached multiple high school state finalists, including a Division I State Champion. She has also developed many NISCA High School Diving All-Americans. Her athletes currently hold multiple high school varsity records, high school pool records, the Southwest District Record, the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Record, and the Southwest Classic Finals Meet Record. Lisa has sent athletes to dive on scholarship at the following colleges: Ashland University, Cleveland State University, Eastern Michigan University, Northeastern University, Ohio University, University at Buffalo, and the University of Kentucky. While diving in college, her athletes have gone on to become Division I conference champions and NCAA Division I qualifiers.
In addition to coaching, Lisa is an A-Judge Top Level World Aquatics Certified Diving Official. She served as one of two head diving referees for the Division I NCAA Championships from 2022 – 2024. She has judged at the 2020 & 2024 USA Diving Olympic Team Trials, Division 1 NCAA Championships, numerous Division 1 NCAA Conference Championships, and many USA Diving Senior National Championships. She has judged internationally at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, 2018 FINA World Junior Diving Championships in Kiev, Ukraine, 2019 Junior Pan American Championships in Santiago, Chile, and 2017 Junior Pan American Championships in Victoria, Canada. She also served on the NISCA High School Diving All-American selection committee in 2017 and 2019.
Lisa also serves as the Southwest District Sectional Diving tournament manager and is a part of the meet management team for the Southwest Classic, which is the largest high school swimming and diving meet in the country.
