Will Brenner, a native of Ypsilanti, Mich., took over the helm of Legacy Oakland from longtime coach Larry Albright in 2024. Brenner brings a combination of local and national success to the program, along with being a Legacy alum. He currently serves as the Head Diving Coach at Oakland University.

He was a three-time HS All-American at Huron High School before going on to dive at the University of Iowa from 2015-19. Brenner was a multi-time NCAA qualifier, team captain, and holds the school record holder in the 1m dive. After his collegiate career he stayed with the Hawkeyes, serving as the Dive Club Assistant Coach and the Varsity Assistant Dive Coach from 2021-22. 

In 2022 he returned to Michigan to coach Wolverine Club Diving in Ann Arbor, incorporating new equipment and techniques at the junior level. He also took on the Head Diving Coach positions at Lincoln High School, Ann Arbor Skyline, and Ann Arbor Pioneer (2022-24), coaching multiple state qualifiers for both boys and girls each year, including the state runner-up in 2024.
